Welcome to the chaos and noise...

In my first few days here I was more of a "normal" tourist than usual, going from one sight to the next.  I suppose I still was not quite the typical tourist as I chose to walk between almost all of them rather than taking the ubiquitous rickshaws.  This works better for me, as I often find myself more interested in the daily life than the monuments.  Also noted that one is hassled quite a bit less once out of the standard tourist areas.

Anyway, on with the show.  As always, the photos are presented in chronological order and have not been edited in any way.  Though it may not seem impossible, I took more than twice as many photos as are presented here.

Enjoy...

One more thing...  I really don't like shooting video, and it shows in the (lack of) quality in the video I am posting.  I seem to like to turn on the video function of my camera and walk the around - never looking in the viewfinder.  Not the best technique.  I guess I'm more interested in the sounds, but With that disclaimer, here are a couple of cuts - but please look at the photos first though....

Not used to monkeys climbing around buildings, stealing your bag of bananas, etc.?  Treated as a nuisance by locals, but photographed by tourists...

A little walk back to my hotel.  Not the most crowded street, not the least crowded.  Not the most interesting, not the least bit interesting?
